Essy's Cafe & Eatery Timeline.
Early 1990's
Essy's First Opening
Essy’s opened in the early 1990s by a gentleman named Esmaeel. Hence he named the cafe Essy’s. He went on to open another one on John Dalton street.
2018
Current Owners Bought The Business
We took over the business and we wanted to make it a spot where everyone felt welcome. So, we spiced things up by creating a new menu that has something for everyone, and we gave the place a funky facelift with a cool black and orange color scheme.
2020
Rebrand & New Vision
Covid hit and we underwent a restructuring of the business, shifting away from its original greasy spoon style and towards a more sophisticated brunch deli feel.
2021
New Sunday Menu
Launched our hugely popular Sunday menu, featuring delicious Sunday roast dinners and more.
2022
Keys to Cheadle Essy
The keys to a new Essy’s location in Cheadle were acquired, with plans to completely refurbish the property and add a touch of character to the space.
